Thurs June 16 "99.9% ISNT ENOUGH" Read II Cor 5:17

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things become new" (II Cor.5:17)

100% change of heart, a change cant happen 99.9% of the time.

100% born-again, cant be born 99.9%.

Some people say nothing is 100% "full proof" but being saved, sealed and secured by the blood of Jesus is FULL PROOF, 100% !

The fear & doubt that visited me over and over came to an end, when I finally admitted I was lost at being only 99.9% sure where I would spend eternity.

God brought me through it all, through everything because He loved me so much and spared my life so that I could be 100% sure as I John 5:13 says, "you can know you have eternal life."

Tuesday at 2pm , June 15, 2010, my name was written in the LAMBS BOOK OF LIFE, and so great is the 100% change the grace of God made in my soul! Before then, I'm 100% sure if I had died, I would have gone to hell.

A whole new world is in my soul and I will never have to worry again of only being 99.9% sure I'm saved.

IF you keep re-visiting doubt about your salvation, let God fix you, HE is the only thing thats 100% FULL PROOF.

Tues June 15 "Cleanup" Bible Reading: John 8

John 8: 31-32
"Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

I am thankful today that I have a church that feels like home. We had church cleanup Saturday.

Strange as it may sound, it was a lot of fun. We mulched, rearranged, cleaned, joked, laughed, and had a great time. I’m happy to be associated with that group of people. Our church stands on God’s holy word. All too often, people in churches just can’t get along. Disputes inside the church keep everyone confused and off focus. Turmoil with other churches keeps lost people out. I DON’T WANT TO BE INVOLVED IN THAT KIND OF RELIGION.

I want to hear about the Ten Commandments, seas parting, manna from heaven, and honey for my journey. I want to hear about a God that can speak worlds into existence, about pillars of cloud and fire, and giants slain by boys with slingshots. I want to hear about sacrifices soaked with water being consumed by fire from heaven, about the widow’s pot of oil and meal, about the Lord, my light and my salvation: Whom shall I fear? Or the beliefs our church is founded on like the virgin birth. About 5,000 men being fed with a child’s lunch, water being turned into wine, waves about to sink the disciple’s boat but being under my Savior’s feet – “Let not your heart be troubled.”

About the trial of an innocent Jesus, His crucifixion, the blood He shed for ME, about Him being dead for three full days, but then standing up alive, full of grace and mercy and love.

These are the foundational building blocks of a strong church and a strong Christian. If we all stay focused on Jesus and God’s word we will be a much stronger group of people…God’s church.

Fri June 11 "Exalting Self Before God" Bible Reading: I Samuel 22

EXALTING SELF ABOVE GOD

(1 Samuel 22:19) "And Nob, the city of the priests, smote he with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and sucklings, and oxen, and asses, and sheep, with the edge of the sword.”

All too often, Saul felt justified doing whatever he wanted, even if this meant ignoring God's Word. He first demonstrated this tendency when God told him to destroy all the Amalekites. Saul reinterpreted His word and only partially obeyed. While he wasn't willing to destroy the Amalekites, he was willing to kill everyone and everything in Nob, even the animals. Why? Because, innocently, they had helped David. Instead of placing his highest priority on pleasing God, Saul pursued his own will and desires. Samuel told him he had "rejected the word of the LORD," and as a result, "the LORD has rejected you from being king over Israel"(1 Samuel 15:26) “And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD hath rejected thee from being king over Israel.”

Even though we can be critical of Saul, many people have this kind of double standard. When they hear a word from the Lord or read the Bible, they reserve the right to decide for themselves what they think God meant-without ever asking Him! Instead, they listen to the opinions of other people. Saul's example reveals why it's so important that we submit our lives to God and have a personal relationship with Him-that we live by faith, believe His Word, obey Him, and realize our own limitations.

Today, stay humble before God. When you read the Bible, ask Him to give you understanding and revelation. Don't be guilty of reinterpreting His Word to satisfy your own opinions. "Don't let the world around you squeeze you into its own mould, but let God re-mould your minds from within. (Romans 12:2 - KJV) “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Set your heart on pleasing Him. It’s not about us, it’s all about Jesus Christ and what He has done, and is doing, and will do for us. Let’s take time today just to praise Him for all He is doing in other lives.

God bless you!

Thurs June 10 "April's Email" Bible Reading: James 5

In the family of God, we don't know all of our relatives, but someday we will all meet in Heaven, (if we know Jesus and have ask Him to save us)!

I don't know April Turner, but she sent this email tonight and even though I dont know her, I felt the Witness of God when I read her email...and April, though I have never met you, your email was a blessing, and I know others will feel the same (who know the Lord Jesus).

I'm sure April won't mind our sharing her email with our Facebook followers. The family of God is a big one, and this is what it is all about!

James 5:16B, "...the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

April: Here's something that you can give your Pastor, a song called, "THE BIBLE STANDS" ...(he can google the music and Lyrics, but part of this song is grand and reads):

The Bible stands every test we give it,

For its Author is divine;

By grace alone I expect to live it,

And to prove and to make it mine.

Chorus:The Bible stands though the hills may tumble,

It will firmly stand when the earth shall crumble;

I will plant my feet on its firm foundation,

For the Bible stands.

God Bless You as you pray!

Here is April's email:
My Dear Friend,
First of all thank you for adding me as a friend. It's great to have Christian friends. I attend Phoenix Baptist Church in Lansing NC. We have this program called the care ministry. We send cards to people who are sick, discouraged, and who have lost a loved one recently. I was reading Circuit Riders post and immediately dropped all that I was doing to pray for Sister Libby and Brother David. Is there any way possible that you can send me an address to Libby and David? I don't know them but that's ok....as Christians, I believe it is our duty to pray for others. I pray for healing if it be God's will. If not, I pray for comfort and strength in the days ahead. I am so thankful we can lift one another in prayer. I ask that when you pray that you remember one of our church members, Bernard Calhoun and wife Maude. Bernard just found out he has liver cancer. It started out as the size of a baseball and in a weeks time grew to the size of a grapefruit. He's currently in Charlotte from the last report I recieved. Also please pray for our Pastor, Jeff Dollar. A member in our church is against him preaching from the King James Bible. I will continue to pray for Libby and David. Please keep me updated. I will also mention their name tonight at church and put them on our prayer request.

Wed June 9 "Salvation Assurance" Read John 10:27-29

The Assurance of Salvation!

Jesus offers us salvation for free!

Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith."

The Bible teaches us that once God saves us, He keeps us saved. Without the assurance of salvation, we are never going to serve the Lord as we should.

We can have the assurance of salvation. I Peter 1:5, "Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."

It is important for us to settle this matter. We are saved forever and we never have to worry about dying and going to hell if we have ask Jesus to come into our heart! And HE WILL!

We are kept by God, confidently guarded by God, "through faith unto salvation." Eternal life is our present possession!

John 10: 27-29, Christ taught that we are kept safe in His hand and in the hand of the Father.

Im so glad that when things seem hopeless, I can fall back in the arms of my Saviour!

Do you have assurance of your salvation?

Tues June 8 "Going to Church" Read Hebrews 10

Hebrews 10:25 - "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."

Do you know what is happening in America today? People who claim to be Christians are not getting involved and becoming faithful to a church -- the local fellowship of believers. Such a thing was unheard of in the Bible. If you were a Christian, you were faithful to the fellowship. You attended when everyone gathered together. If you stopped attending, they assumed that you were an apostate. What is more important than the local visible expression of the body of Christ? It is the way we stay "plugged in" to the needs of the body of Christ. It is the way we show honor to Him in worship. It is simply the way.

What do you have on your schedule this week that is more important than being a part of the blood-bought body of the Lord Jesus Christ? The church is a very special place to be. I am not talking necessarily about the building. The church is made up of born again baptized believers in Jesus Christ.

Going to church will build your faith, strengthen each other in fellowship and God said He would always be with us as we meet together for worship.

(Matt. 18.20) "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

Mon June 07 What Are We Willing To Do For God? Read Acts 26

What Are You Willing to Do For God?

What are you willing to do for God?

That is the question I asked my Sunday School Class this past Sunday.

We discussed Paul’s willingness to go to the extreme to do anything for God. In Acts 26, we find Paul on trial. His case has already been discussed and no evidence was found against him, but false witnesses came against him. But Paul was not worried about their false testimonies against him; he was right where he wanted to be and where God needed him to be. In verse 1, I can imagine the smile on Paul’s face when Agrippa permitted him to speak to him. With a captive audience and judge, Paul was more than happy to tell exactly what he had been and Who had changed him on the road to Damascus. In verse 10, he admitted to giving voice against Christians, because they were Christians. In 13-19, he tells about his conversion. Now imagine being in the Watauga County Courthouse and giving the judge and jury your testimony. Because Paul was willing to do the extreme for God, look in verse 28 at what Agrippa says to Paul, “Almost you persuade me to be a Christian.” In verse 31 and 32 they admit that Paul is innocent and would have been set free except for the fact that Paul had already appealed to Caesar. You see, Paul was happy to give his testimony to Agrippa and the other people in the courtroom – his ‘captive audience.’ Paul was willing to do exactly what it took to give his testimony and spread the Good News of Jesus.

When I asked the question to the teens in my class not even one said they were willing to do anything God asked. One said he would do anything but fly in a plane and another said for us to pray that she would find strength to do something that God had already asked her to do. They all were honest. Then I was honest with them and said when God gave me this lesson I thought to myself ‘Sure I am willing to read my Bible and pray more!’ Then God reminded me that I read and pray for MYSELF –not Him!

Ask yourself this question: If God asked you, would you be willing to go to the worst neighborhood in your county and beat on doors and invite people to church and give your testimony? I know I would be way out of my comfort zone! If God asked you to go to Haiti and witness to the witches and black magic practitioners there, how many would go? This past week we at Cornerstone had a man of God be brave enough to step out and go in front of the church to announce his Call to preach.

We all need to have more spiritual hero's & leaders like Brother Bryan Miller-and the Apostle Paul, but always looking unto Jesus!
