1 Corinthians 15:10
"But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me."
"But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me."
Our Saviour says, "I am that I am" and it is our privilege to say, (as Paul did): "But by the grace of God I am what I am...by God's grace we are what we are!! Praise Him now!
We are nothing but what God makes us, nothing in religion but what His grace makes us!! Nothing at all without Jesus!
All that is good in us is a stream from this fountain. We are a debtor to the grace of God.
God worked in Paul's life and then came a humble servant...
A humble spirit will be very apt to own and magnify the grace of God. A humble spirit is a gracious one...where pride is subdued, grace usually reigns...we can see this develop throughout Paul's ministry.
So many have found "grace in the eyes of the Lord" when through so many trials & tribulations in this life...and then will come a humble servant!
Lets pray together today for God's grace and because of grace, we will be made humble...and realize without Jesus, we are dust, and all our righteousness is filthy rags!
In closing I think of this great song:
Marvelous grace of our loving Lord,
Grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt!
Yonder on Calvary’s mount outpoured,
There where the blood of the Lamb was spilled.
Grace, grace, God’s grace,Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;
Grace, grace, God’s grace,Grace that is greater than all our sin.
Sin and despair, like the sea waves cold,
Threaten the soul with infinite loss;
Grace that is greater, yes, grace untold,
Points to the refuge, the mighty cross.
Dark is the stain that we cannot hide.
What can avail to wash it away?
Look! There is flowing a crimson tide,
Brighter than snow you may be today.
Marvelous, infinite, matchless grace,
Freely bestowed on all who believe!
You that are longing to see His face,
Will you this moment His grace receive?
God Bless You.
